IV

IV

Some have seen a mountain peak and never been the same
My view was one found inbetween
Nearer my love to thee

You once were the reason I breathed in or out
Now a ripple grows and no damn has stopped
All the water that flows
Down to the river, love to pray

If you had a reason to stay away when I learned of you
This moment, the last, and decades more would do
you saw, and in only knew
Be that thou vision, long ago

As a fragile thing grows
And poisen for water changes all of her clothes
She dances with devils
and scars her own eyes
Nothing but the blood, she knows

In depths of parting, taking and none
Alone a silence screams
and it's echos roam
And again, the road turns into the sea
What a wonderous love, has broken me

I'll retreat with some, to far away lands
Awake oh heart and silence my hands

Gone
and never to know
Man of Sorrows, not my own

You lined me up
for the cue ball's blast
or some fortune that causes tightening skin
and fur to raise

I left my life to meet
your mouth and hands
my eyes and deep vacancies

You lined me up
with flirtatious grin
a secret glance

we devoured love in
the inbetween hours
the ones no one missed

You lined the walls of my heart
such congestion has caused death

covenants always know
guardians fell blind
we danced in their unknowing

You lined the dress that touched
my thigh, and cried when I cried

You lined the phrases of my youth
You lined the shape of my body
You lined the horror of my next-day truths

and now
it is your voice, and hands, and eyes that line the silence

Footsteps
Sidesteps
Broken door
Back door

Adrenaline
sweaty palms
fresh face
fresh heart

Catching gaze
Hands aligned
"Do I look alright?"

my in love eyes
but you are grown
for you have sooner
known more than I

yet, I alone
have known the feelings you
walked with  into this home
through the back broken door

lies carried on your broken back
diception gathered by your broken eyes
poisen, spread between your sweaty thighs

and my lights were formed in the windows of
that broken door

the bough breaks
and the cradle falls
but we don't have arms to catch them all

like cinderblocks drop
they hit and bound, then crack
and dust rises

and dust rises
like the offerings
the ancient ones placed upon the griddles of fear and doubt

to gain to gain to always gain
we fight our losses and lose our way

if you were an apple tree i would sit under you
perhaps i would hold myself against your lean

apples are a violent fruit
they are loud they ache my senses

always brown apples in my lunch
but never in my mouth

they've lined themselves
letters in eager formation
the beginning of an expression
